The course instructor is Roger C. Skovly, P.T.,
M. A.
He is a graduate of South Dakota State University
(B.S., 1962) and The University of Iowa (P.T.,
1963, M.A., P.T., 1967).
He taught at the University of Iowa, College of Medicine,
Department of Physical Therapy from 1969 to 1972. He was also
Assistant Professor, School of Health, Department of Physical
Therapy at Florida International University, Miami, Florida
from 1972-1975. In 1976, he was granted full tenure and appointed
Associate Professor and Chairman of the Physical Therapy Department.
In 1980, he accepted the position of Chief Physical Therapist,
University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He entered
private practice in South Miami, Florida in 1992 specializing
in the treatment of pelvic, spine, head pain and temporomandibular
conditions. He sold his practice in 2003 to devote time to
develop this course.

"I highly recommend the Pelfixer course! It has
been instrumental in building a strong client base for my
Pilates and wellness physical therapy practice. Many clients
with long-term chronic SI and spine problems have moved toward
decreased pain, increased function and return to normal activities.
They refer friends and family for treatment because they have
found the Pelroll to be effective in a home program of self-alignment.
They enjoy a greater measure of self-management of their condition
as they understand the mechanics of their dysfunction and
link improper postures and body mechanics to exacerbations.
I use this method on a daily basis to assess and treat my
clients; it’s the most valuable clinical tool I've learned
in years."

“It is amazing how pelvic joint malalignments relate
to problems of the extremities and posture faults of the body.
The concept was simplified and understood after attending
the course.”
Rocio Salas Cabrera, P.T.
Former Head Physical Therapist
Neurologia Y Rehabilitacion, Lima, Peru
"This course taught me a practical, simplified way to evaluate and align the sacroiliac joint. You cleared up many erroneous movement misconceptions I had previously been taught ."
T.S., Pennsylvania
"Thanks, for what has to be, one of the most informative, challenging courses."
M.C., Florida
"The 3D animations of the pubis symphysis and sacroiliac joint explained their movements very well and made it easy to understand and remember. The new muscle energy techniques to align the pelvis and spine I learned will, I am sure, be extremely helpful in treating my orthopedic patients."
D.F., New York
"Excellent. Provided plenty of time for students to practice and the instructor gave lots of personal hands-on time to each group."
T.H., Nebraska
“I have taken care of patients with vertebral column
problems during the last 30 years. My approach to the spine
has always been conservative, even though I am a neurosurgeon
that specializes in spine surgery.
From the time I first learned about modern conservative
techniques to rehabilitate patients with spinal dysfunction
in the mid 70’s until two years ago I had very good
results with the way my patients were managed by physical
therapy. Nevertheless I have experienced an exponential improvement
since they have been treated with Roger Skovly’s novel
spine rehabilitation techniques. Not only have my Miami patients
benefited, the patients I treat in Peru at the Instituto do
Neurocirugia, Neorologia y Rehabilitacion have received as
well the benefit of the new approach to resolve their painful
spinal conditions.
I am convinced that the correction of the alignment of
the sacro-iliac and pubic joints plays a key role in the correction
of the functional deformities as well as in the release of
muscle spasms and the reduction of pain in my patients. A
daily program of simple exercise and maneuvers that take only
a few minutes preserves the functional status and prevents
the recurrence of malalignments that arc the genesis of mechanical
low back and lower extremity pains.”
